There are many students like you who are desirous of getting out of engineering into a new field. Of course it's always good to realise this at earliest so that not many years are list. Have you done diploma after 10th or 12th? If after 12th, then no problems. But please get to know your passion. Arts/ commerce/ humanities/fine arts? It's best to pursue what you like or subject of your passion. Any of the above you can do. But it's better that you decide it yourself rather than me enforcing it on you.
Best wishes

There is no set formula for earning this amount of money. What I would recommend is that please focus on your interest, strengths and weaknesses and then make a career choice. Eventually, money will come in each and every job, but it is important to take that career path which helps you in realising your goals. One of the common methods which students follow: IIT + MBA from a top college such IIMs, FMS, etc. which can help you start with a good salary.
