The duration of SAS is about a month, moreover, it depends on schedules as per weekdays or weekends and SAS advanced should take about 40 days and the fee for SAS in 3rd party institutes is around 20k for base SAS and for SAS institutes it is 55k.

You are advised to take science stream to become a naval officer. You may appear for NDA exam conducted by the UPSC to become a commissioned officer in the Indian Navy. You may appear for the Joint Admission Test conducted by the Indian Maritime University to become a merchant navy officer. Both Indian Navy and merchant naval are equally good.
