VIT is governed by DTE (Directorate of Technical Education), Maharashtra. As per their guidelines, VIT accepts CAT score for MS (Master of Management Studies). Other exams accepted are CET and CMAT. We can discuss the details.

It's very difficult to get admission in both the colleges as their CAT cut-off is more than 99%ile and your academic score is also not good. You should try for colleges like KJ Somaiya, Narsee Monjee and Goa Insititute of Management.

Hello! There is no fixed cutoff when it comes to making it to the finest B-schools via CAT. And apart from the CAT score, various factors are also considered by those B-schools (past academic scores, gender diversity, extracurriculars, work experience, etc. ). Before shortlisting the candidates for their respective interview rounds. Though a score of 99.7 percentile and above should be good enough to get you a call from some or even all of the old Iims and the other top non-Iims.

See, there are many criteria which IIM-A, B, and K will consider before giving out interview calls or final admission. Like your graduation stream, graduation percentage, quality of work experience, and extracurricular (though there is no separate weightage for this, but it helps you a lot during interviews) and the list goes on. Yes, there are institutes for which applications remain opens after CAT results are announcesd. Just look for the application ads. Some of the institutes are - IFMR, ITM-Navi Mumbai, International School of Business & Media Pune / Bangalore/ Kolkata, IMI-Bhubaneswar, IMT-Nagpur and others.
