Anywhere from 70 percentile and above in CAT and XAT can get you through.

You are eligible to appear for a majority of MBA entrance examinations if you are doing BA Distance learning from a recognized university or institute and score more than 50% marks.

CAT 2016 examination will be conducted on 04 Dec 2016 (Sunday).

You will not face any problem if you are able to clear all subjects before the start of the academic session in B-Schools in Jun-Jul 2017.

Hi Dinesh83959! CAT marks and percentile relation varies from year to year. The cutoff for joining NIT Trichy varies based on a person's job experience, interview and group discussion performances apart from CAT percentile . However if you are a fresher and an open category student generally the cutoff is around 90-95 percentile.

The details of the percentile, marks in Class X, XII and the breakup of different components for the admission will come out in due time.

You have to give CAT again for consideration

CAT is a highly competitive examination. Candidates have to score very high marks to seek admission in top B-schools. If you do not get admission in any of the top 30 B-schools, you can reappear with better preparation. In order to mitigate your risks of losing time, you may also appear in other MBA entrance examinations such as XAT, MAT, etc. You can also do MBA from Tier 2 and 3 B-schools.

The forms for CAT, 2017 will be out next year only, so you can apply next year.
