You can crack CAT easily by learning from CAT exam book material. You can go through all past year's questions, work on more aptitude and learn new vocabulary each day. Moreover, scheduling is important while learning for CAT exam.
All the best.

Hey Sathiyaprabu!
Your CAT score is good but they may demand for more. Why don't you try for MAT exams in December or February and get a better score to get into the VIT world. Here your UG marks is not going to do anything with your MBA. They will demand for a decent percent of only 60% and above.
Thank You.All the Best!

It depends on what you have focused while pursuing your ECE. If you have been attentive in your classes and scoring well in your semester exams, then GATE will be easier for you. Most engineers find easy, and perform well in the quant section in CAT as well as GATE. English section is what gets the engineers struggling.

In CAT, to get admission in a top B-school, you must score above 70%. You might get interview call at lower percentage also provided you score amazingly well in your CAT. But, with a low score in your graduation, you must have an awesome profile to secure admission at a top B-school.

There are many non-IIT'ans who have scored 100 percentile in CAT. CAT is usually considered the forte of engineers, but many others also perform extremely well.

Your gap of a year will not at all be a reason of hindrance in your admission process or percentile for that matter.
