You graduation marks are required at the time of admission. Try to clear all your backlogs (if any). Maintain the 50 percent aggregate throughout your graduation.

For taking CAT exam, you must be a final year graduate student or you should have completed your graduation.
So don't worry about 1st-year marks, you can improve it in coming years if you put some effort.
For CAT or other management exams, degree marks are not considered. You can attend it, but it is up to the college where you take the admission, marks are compulsory or not.

Academic scores dont effect your selection. You will get select on the basis of your CAT score and your GDPI score. You need to score atleast 95 percentile in CAT to get admission in DFS.

If you have a strong determination and you are a hardworking person, you will surely earn it within a year. Try to reach any good coaching institutes nearby as they provide you with good guides, mock tests, etc. Don't try to study by yourself because that won't help you to attain a good percentile.

In my opinion, the time for preparation is not good enough. You have to prepare well and take much time. It will be better, if you take one year preparation for the CAT.
1. Concentrate more for weaker sections of CAT.
2. DI and Logical reason needed greater attention.
3. Quantitative and English sections are good to score well.

Preparation tips:
1. Do give more importance to the weaker areas.
2. Never ignore to study deep in sections, which you think is easy.
3. If you are a recently graduated, please do take a year to prepare for the exam or if you are a final year graduate student it will be hard for you to score well.

1. First you have to search for the questions which is less hard and answer it.
2. Don't spend too much time on a question, if you don't know just leave it.
3. It is unknown what methodologies are taken by the CAT organizers in giving score, so never worry if you answered less, there are some wh
