Preparing for CAT is best done with a coaching institute of good reputation like IMS, TIME and Career Launcher. You can take their classroom courses or correspondence courses to receive guidance on various aspects of preparation, sample tests, areas of improvement etc. The CAT exam largely has questions on Maths, English vocabulary and comprehension and Logical reasoning. However, if you are very busy & can not attend classes or coaching you can wish to improve your performance in English, it will help to a) read a lot of news magazines esp. on subjects you are not familiar with to improve your comprehension abilities b) work

Average salary for freshers is 6 Lakh and for experienced it is 12 Lakh. Yes you are eligible with cat 71.69 percentile if you profile can offset. I mean if you are experienced or with good academics.

Hi arpita,
Your scores are good to get a call. The highest salary depends upon the company you get which inturn depends upon your cgpa and performanace during the GD and PI round of the particular company. The hostel and mess fees are all inclusive in the academic fees.

Yes you can appear is both exams. As CAT is for the admission to management programs in Indian institutes whereras GMAT is for management programs abroad. For more details on CAT and GMAT please go through the following links:

You can either, enroll for any classes such as TIME or CareerLauncher, OR you can buy a correspondence package from any of the services out there. I personally took the CareerLauncher pack for around 5000/-. You get more than 20 mock test and over 100 practice tests, which is more than enough preparation for CAT.
