No not necessary.
See CAT was a compulsion to take admissions in PU till the year 2013.
But last two batches i.e 2014 & 2015 batch there was no compulsion for a CAT score.
This year there might b a chance but till now there is no such notification.
So if you wanna be a part of MBA @ PU just be prepared for the entrance test organised by the universiy itself, which will be conducted sometime around May 2016.

Hi. You have a good score in class 10th and 12th. and under-graduation. If you get a CAT percentile of 99+, you can get a call from IIM A, B and C and the rest of the IIMs.

DMS IIT D short-lists candidates based on the cumulative score of 10th marks, 12th marks, graduation marks, CAT score, work ex and additional qualifications (if any) for GD and PI, giving due weightage to each component. You have decent 10th marks, 12th marks and graduation marks, and a fairly good amount of work ex. It is difficult to comment on the CAT score required to get short-listed since it is the cumulative score which matters therefore, with such a profile you do have chances of getting a call. However, still not much can be said about the CAT score. All the Best !

Last year the cut off for general category in dfs was 95 percentile. So you need at least 95 percentile in CAT.

It is compulsory to write MAT/CAT/CMAT exam for getting admission. Any one of these exam score should be attached while applying. In Kerala the scores of MAT/CMAT will be also considered. The cut-off percentile differs from year to year according to the quality of candidates applied. The cut-off for admission process of year 2015-17 was 97.6

As per last year trends, you have a good chance of getting a call for PI-WAT process. While saying so, I must also mention that your performance in the interview process has to be really good. Expect questions on your grad performance in the interview. If you impress the interview panel, you will be able to sail through the interview.

There is no such cut-off for admission short-listing, as it is profile based.
