It depends on the merit list. Germany has various public fund universities and because of that, the competition is very humongous. Try to register for as many universities as you can so your chances are high for getting the admission.

Are you repeating class 12th or dropping a year for preparation? If you have a low percentage in 12th and for this, you are appearing in improvement exam then it could be a good option. If you have dropped for preparation for some competitive exam then sometimes it goes against your choice. So, for this, don't drop.

Don't waste your year by again starting a new journey with biology. You have lots of option with PCM subjects and go for PCM competitive exam, like JEE Mains etc. I suggest, you don't repeat your year.
