As far as academics is concerned, yes, you have a good record. Though +2 remains some concern as the same is below 80% but overall you will have a good score as in graduation 8.8 is definitely above cream average.
Rest there are numbers of factors that play for the total composite score. So, all the best, make your best for written and face to face evaluations.

I would suggest you to pursue engineering in India from a good university, engineering in India has a good value. And also you can choose to pursue Master's degree in other countries, it will help you to shape your future.

The minimum education qualification to pursue a B.Sc course at Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology states that aspirants should have pursued their 10+2 with Science and secured minimum of 50% aggregate marks including extra optional. For candidates who have applied for admission under SC/ST/PH category need to have secured a minimum of 40% marks in their qualifying exam.

Interested aspirants for the course need to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria.
Completion of HSC (10+2 level) from a recognized educational board
English as one of the subjects at HSC
Minimum aggregate score of 50% to 60% at 10+2 level of education
Students who have appeared in HSC examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

If you had gone through previous Q&A regarding the subject you would have got your answer. Anyway, I must tell you that this is not a individual course. Journalism is an ancillary subject offered with few other courses like the BA Hons. courses; English, Bengali, Pol. Sc., Sociology and most importantly with BSc in Mass Communication & Videography.
If you want to study Journalism you can opt any of the above-mentioned courses.
After passing XII you can apply online through the college website, sxccal.edu.

I guess you are left with only one attempt of JEE Mains i.e. just after class 12th. You will have to get a year gap certificate for admission in any college.
