It will help if you have some background of IT in 12th, when doing engineering. But which branch you will get in the admission process entirely depends on how you score in CET conducted for admissions to engineering colleges. Better the score, better the chances.

Getting admission to DU is not possible as you are an NIOS student. Secondly, the cut-off for DU is also very high. In LPU, you might get admission since it is a private college. It is a very good college. I am not sure whether you will get admission to LPU since it also conducts its own entrance exam. If the eligibility criteria for the entrance exam is less than or equal to 55%, then you are eligible for giving exam. But remember in that case, you have to score good marks in that for getting admission in it. I will suggest you to check the eligibility criteria for the LPU entrance exam.

Sorry to say, it is not possible because there is an age limit to take admission in engineering colleges across India and for top colleges through JEE, you only have 3 chances (including the 12th passing year) to give JEE examination.
