Hi,
Eligibility
Here are the eligibility criteria for CAT 2017:
The candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST and PWD/DA category).
Percentage obtained in Bachelors degree would be calculated on the basis of practice followed by the concerned university/institution. In case of grades/CGPA, the conversion would be based on the process defined by the concerned university/ institution.
In absence of any percentage conversion scheme, candidates CGPA will be divided by maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.

Hi Avi,
You have to excel in your academics and be an all-rounder. MIT is place of innovators so build your profile accordingly. Take part in high end project works and show you talented you are. Sports, voluntary work, etc. are also required. You must take the SAT or ACT and TOEFL as a part of the application process. You must also visit the MIT website and get to know the student profiles so that you can prepare accordingly.

Hi Vishal, many universities accept NIOS and many don't but it is difficult to point out any names. You have to contact some colleges abroad, visit college websites randomly and email them. They will reply and guide you accordingly. A lot will depend on your profile. All the best.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for JEE Mains. Remember, max three attempts for JEE Mains and max two attempts for JEE Advanced.

The top B-schools that still continue to higher mainly on the basis of scores attained in entrance tests are:
1. IIFT New Delhi and Kolkata
2. FMS New Delhi
3. NITIE Mumbai
4. JBIMS, Mumbai
5. NMIMS, Mumbai
These B-schools require 50% and above in the UG and class XII and excellent scores in the respective entrance tests to secure admission.
