As you belong to SC category you have good chances to get a good government college in Anna University counselling.

The cut off marks are calculated as follows:
1) Mathematics marks out of 200 divided by 2.
2) Add physics and chemistry marks scored out of 200.
3) Then divide that score by 4.
4) After that add both the resulting scores.
The marks you get will be out of 200. This is your cut off marks.
As a general category student if your cut off is 198 or above you can get CEG campus of Anna University.

As per this cut off marks of 163, you have no chances to get the CEG campus of Anna University even if you belong to SC or ST category.
You may get some average affiliated colleges which will not be equal to the top colleges.
