Hello Shah Rukh!
The minimum eligibility marks in class 12th to get a college with JEE main and advanced marks (JOSAA counselling) you need to have at least 75% marks.
So, you are not eligible for JEE main 2018.
It is better to try for the colleges that admit based on both JEE main and board exam marks for admission.
Or else, you can go for a good university with your board exam scores and then do M.Tech in a reputed institution.

You can opt any subject you want because for NIFT entrance you need GK, English, Maths (till class 10) and Logic Reasoning. So your class 11 & 12 stream won't matter.

To be truthful about it, you may give the improvement exam, but that would increase your percentage depends on you totally if you are willing to work hard this time. Scoring just 53% in today's time is kind of frustrating but you can improve it. Just remember to work hard and remain sincere to yourself.

Hello Vaisnavi,
You have scored that are really low. I would sincerely advise you to leave obsession of engineering. But if you must then only management quota will get you admission.
