Exam and Courses required to become a CA:
CPT (Common Proficiency Test)
IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course)

Eligibility:
Candidates are eligible to register for CPT after class 10 but they will be able to appear for it only after passing class 12.
Students of commerce, Science as well as arts stream can apply for CPT.
Students of Commerce Stream need to secure 50% aggregate marks in Class 12 exams in order to be eligible for CPT.
Students of all other streams need to score an aggregate of 55% excluding Mathematics and 60% including Mathematics in Class 12 board exams.
On clearing the CPT exam successfully, candidates become the member of Indian Chartered Accountants Institute (ICAI) the exam and course conducting body for all CAs in India.

There are many courses that you can opt for after class 12th. B.Tech and MBBS are all-time favourites but then life doesn't stop here only. You have various other good options available.
If you are interested in pursuing a course in the science field, you can go for various B.Sc courses like Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Maths, etc. Other than these you have specialized ones like Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Forensic, Agriculture, Food Technology, Computer Science, etc. Apart from these, you have honours courses too. You can also go for paramedical courses like Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Ayurveda, etc.
Other than science stream, you can have a career in Journalism, Film and TV production, Management, Hotel Management, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Yoga, etc.
