Picking up the best career option in class XII is a very crucial decision and is met with a lot of anxiety and confusion both by parents and students. This decision is usually based on the marks that the student had scored in class X board exams. While the performance in class X examinations is a fair indication of the student's hold over academics, it should not be taken as an indicator of the level of aptitude and interest in any given area. There are factors like student's interest that play an extremely important role.
Few things that you need to keep in mind while deciding your stream in class XII:
- Inquire about the combination of subjects offered by your school at the +2 level. Wrap your head around all the streams and optional subjects.
- Evaluate your aptitude and interests. Consider co-curricular activities and do not hesitate in taking help of your friends.
- Jot down a career plan with 3-4 options.
- Be honest with yourself as no one knows you better than your own self!
- Take advice from parents or other experienced ones.

Post-matric Scholarship for Minority Students:
Purpose- To support Minority community students for studies in a government or private higher secondary school/ college/ university. And, technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of classes 11 and 12 level.
Award- Education Scholarship of Rs. 9,300 to Rs 13,800 per year
Eligibility- Class 11, 12, 12+ of Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists and Zoroastrians (Parsis), Family income less than Rs. 2 lakh
