IMT gives weightage to 10th,12th, graduation, work experience and entrance exam scores. You have good marks in 10th and 12th. I would say you have a good chance if you score well in the entrance exams and try to score as much in the graduation as much as possible. All the best!

If you can prefer any course for study then you must check your interested level not salary level. Many students choose their course for only money making. my suggestion is if you really want to study oil line then and then you should experineces makes you masters.

Not everyone scores 90% or more and that does not make you less intelligent. If you are keen to go in research field, choose B.Sc hons in that subject and then prepare well for IIT JAM to apply for master's. You also hv options of BS + MS in IISER and IISC.
