DU still conducts CATE exam for admission to its undergraduate level program, B.A. English (Hons).
Eligibility:
-Candidates with 60% marks in English and best of 4 subjects in CBSE class XII.
CATE preparation:-
The CATE question paper consists of 2 parts. Part 1 will comprise MCQs and Part 2 is subjective paper consisting RTCs and essay type questions.
A. Practice Grammar exercises:
The first part tests a candidate's proficiency at English language by testing grammar, spellings, vocabulary, tenses etc. through objective questions.
B. Enhance your knowledge of the field of literature:
The knowledge of literature is tested through multiple choice questions on names of authors, books, their genre etc.
The 2nd part of the exam aims at checking the candidate's ability to analyse a text and express the understanding of the text through writing.

Delhi University (DU) conducts CATE in the month of June every year for admission to BA English Honors program.

Dear Poonam, As per my knowledge first you have to decide yourself that what you want to do? and which one is right career for you? basically in which you have interest , whether you can do it or not?. and also more important thing you need to know that in today's days comparing to all the industrial sector like BA , B.COM, MA, BCA, MCOM,MBA,etc. most of the peoples they are preferring to do animation , y is it so? Because animation is the most glamorous career of today. It's becoming most demanding career option in today's generation, it as boundless scope. I would like to suggest you to go for animation field.(i.e.Bsc.in animation) because it is the best way to express your self your creativity, and your imagination.this course is not only polishes your creativity but also it helps you in establishing your own ideas in your own way. Education till 12th is very important that makes a strong base of students but what is more important than that comes after the 12th when you need to choose a stream (course) or to choose a career path.
