Securing a place in SASTRA University may pose some challenges with a 64 percentile in JEE Mains and 77% in your CBSE board exams. Admission is usually very high on JEE Mains score for direct admissions due to the specific standard set by the university, but it may be possible to gain admission through the CBSE board for direct counseling. The eligibility in this case will depend on the cutoffs which change for each academic year. So, it is better to either check out its official admission site or contact them for directed advice.

If you were absent for all five theory papers of your CBSE Class 12 exams, you typically have two options depending on your school's and CBSE's policies:
1. Appear for Compartment Exams (or Supplementary Exams):
CBSE allows students who miss or fail in their board exams to appear for the supplementary exams conducted later in the year.
You won't have to attend school again, but you must register for these exams, often through your school.
Contact your school or check the CBSE website for the compartment exam application process.
2. Reappear Next Year:
If you miss all exams and don't opt for supplemen

1. Check JMI Guidelines for Class 11 admission
Normally, JMI permits students to fill in applications for Class XI even if the result of class 10 is not declared yet.

Failing in three or more subjects means you need to reappear for the entire board exam next year. If a student takes compartment test in 12th, can he take admission in any college in the same year? Yes.
' Failure and Reappearance: Students who fail or do not appear for the Compartment exam will be considered 'FAIL' and must reappear according to the prescribed courses and syllabus.

No, it is not mandatory to mention the father's name in CBSE Board registration if the father is deceased or not involved. In such cases, the name of the mother or legal guardian can be provided as per CBSE guidelines.
When filling out the registration forms, CBSE generally requires the details of either the father, mother, or legal guardian. If your father is no more, you can provide your mother's name or that of your guardian in the appropriate field. Ensure to inform your school about the situation, as they handle the submission process and can guide you on the necessary documentation.

At SASTRA Deemed University, admission to the B.Tech programs, including Electronics and Communication (EC) and Information Technology (IT), is based on a combined score of 75% weightage from your Class 12 marks and 25% from your JEE Main score. With your 82.4% in Class 12 and an 80.99 percentile in JEE Main, your combined score would be around 82.05, which is a competitive score. While SASTRA does not have a fixed cutoff, this score increases your chances of getting admission to EC or IT, as these branches tend to have relatively high demand. For detailed information, it's best to check the official SASTRA admissions page.
