There is no direct admission to NIFD. The selection of candidates to under graduate courses in NIFD is done on the basis of a written test conducted by NIFD. Separate entrance exams are conducted for admission to B.Des courses and B.FTech in Apparel Production.
Entrance test for B.Des course comprises of three separate sections.
General Ability Test (GAT)
Creative Ability Test (CAT)
Situation Test
In General Ability Test (GAT), candidate can expect questions from the following topics
Communication Ability
Analytical Ability
Current Affairs
English Comprehension
General Knowledge
Quantitative Ability

As again this year your marks are not upto the level so you can't get admission in NITs. I would suggest that you should take any college as admission is still going on in colleges. So, take admission as dropping a year again may cause problems.
But if you still want to take a chance, for class 12th you can again give the exam through NIOS board so that your class 12th board marks may improve.
All the best.
