This limitation is largely attributed to the sensitive nature of the document and associated security issues. However, the common methods and procedures of obtaining a bonafide certificate are given below.

There are different periods of validation for a temporary and a permanent bonafide certificate. A temporary bonafide certificate remains valid only for a period of 6 months to a year. However, a permanent bonafide certificate remains valid till the employee is working within the same company or till the student is studying in the same class.

No, the transfer certificate (TC) and bonafide certificate are not the same. A TC is issued after a student has left the institution. The TC is an official document that certifies that a student has been a part of the institution within the mentioned dates.
However, a bonafide certificate is issued when the student is still studying in the same institution, given the class is also the same. The bonafide certificate can also be issued to the working individuals of any organisation. The bonafide certificate certifies that the student or the employee is still a trustworthy part of the institution or the organisation respectively.

While a bonafide certificate can be useful for various purposes, it's generally not sufficient for scholarship applications abroad. Most scholarships require specific academic documents like transcripts, mark sheets, or degree certificates to verify your academic performance and eligibility.
However, a bonafide certificate can be a supporting document to verify your current enrollment status or identity. It is always best to check the specific requirements of the scholarship you're applying for to ensure you submit all necessary documents.
