A Police Verification Certificate (PVC), also known as a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), is typically not required for internships abroad. Especially when you are going for a short period of time. However, if your internship duration is more than 90 days then you need to check the visa rules of the host country. Else, you can ask your employer for assistance.

You can check the status of PCC made by the concerned passport office in the official portal. Generally, the process may take from 7 working days up to 21 working days. However, this can vary as per the application and police station. It is vital to track the application of your Police Clearance Certificate application from the Passport Seva website by providing your Application Number and using the Track Application option.
