Chandigarh University is a private university and is recognised by the UGC. It has become the only state-private university of Punjab to be accredited by NAAC. It is also a member of ICAR, AUAP, IAU, ACU, IEEE, ASME, IUCEE, and ACS.

Food and Accommodation charges may vary from approximately INR 1.2 Lacs to INR 1.6 Lacs per year.
