The rank is very good for a private university, because it is not only in the top 10 in India but also at the first spot in North India and Punjab. In different areas like Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, the university has been ranked at 1st and 2nd place in Punjab.

Yes, Chandigarh University moved up in NIRF 2025. In the university category, it is now at 19th rank. Last year it was 20th. In the overall list, the rank is 32, which is the same as last year. Some subjects also improved. Engineering went to 31 from 32. Management moved to 32 from 36. Pharmacy jumped from 20 to 15. Research ranking came for the first time at 34. Only Architecture went one step down from 13 to 14. So overall, the university showed progress in most areas.

Chandigarh University's performance in NIRF 2025 is great. because it is not just limited to 1category. It is ranked in multiple categories. The university is ranked 31st in Engineering, 32nd in Management, 15th in Pharmacy, 14th in Architecture, and 34th in Research and has also jumped ranks as compared to last year. In the University category, CU is ranked 19th in India. Chandigarh University made its first entry in the Research category in NIRF 2025 and secured 34th rank in India among all the universities in India. Chandigarh University in 2025 got scores in five key areas.
In Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR) it scored 65.11, rank 91. In Research & Professional Practice (RP), score 49.13, rank 16. In Graduation Outcomes (GO), score 78.05, rank 43. In Outreach & Inclusivity (OI), score 74.25, rank 17. In Perception (PR), score 39.74, rank 30.

Yes, Chandigarh University has maintained considerable consistency in NIRF 2025. In the overall list, it is at 32, exactly the same as the previous year. In the university category, it is at 19, moving one step up from 20 in 2024. This shows a steady rise without big falls. Engineering has moved from 32 to 31. Management improved its position from 36 to 32. From the field of Pharmacy, there was a rise from 20 to 15. The field of Architecture remained the same,14 this year and 13 last year.
