Biotechnology involves studies related to living organisms, etc. It involves testing new medicines in animals, gene and DNA studies, etc. Biotech is more of Science rather than engineering. Maths is relatively less in Biotech. Finally,

As per my opinion, chemical engineering would be a better option. It's kind of a more generalized branch comparatively. Also, from job opportunities point of view, chemical engineering would open up more opportunities. Nevertheless, metallurgy branch is good at its own place.
