Gitam University is good. If you really interested in studies whole library with good books for you. If not whole Visakhapatnam (city to enjoy).
Placements: CSE/It get good amount not companies, mechanical/civil same old story just 10% get placed in core companies same situation everywhere. Faculty: just like a other institutions some faculty are fabulous. And some are not any better than to take attendance. (That type faculty more chance see in CSE/IT department).
Attendance issue; There is do not care about attendance like other colleges. Minimum 75% required to write exam etc. Hostel: good rooms but it's so expensive compared with out

Hello, now you are eligible for lateral entry in B.Tech degree it means that you will get admission in 2nd year of B.Tech programme. Various private as well as government colleges provides the lateral entry B.Tech programs. For more information, call the respective college faculty.

Hello Prachi, Of course yes. I think your Polytechnic from where you are doing your Diploma in civil engineering will definitely have a placements cell. This is the agency which coordinates requirement of recruiters and the students who are passing out. I feel for civil Engineering Diploma, there should not be a problem in getting absorbed in the industry. Best wishes to you.

Yes, definitely you can get awesome jobs at NIT College and especially in civil you will get awesome job. As I know one of my best friend was in NIT Surat, he was get 50,000 per month salary. Yes, there is great chance.

Practically his eligibility for admission is very tough because of other state. As per rules there are some seats reserved in JEC for candidates nominated by the state of Sikkim, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal pradesh and Mizoram as per allocation of govt of India, MHRD Delhi. Hence how will Nagaland nominate your brother for this college is a big question.

With this rank, you may not get civil engineering but, you can get biotechnology in this college for sure. For civil engineering, the last year cut-off was 22K.
Package of civil engineering solely depends on the college and the hard work you put into this branch .
