Hi, First you need to be accepted by a college in UK for lateral entry which is tough because engineering programs in India are of 4 years whereas it's of 3 years in UK. Secondly, different universities have different credit point norms. The scholarship is difficult too.

You have to give BITSAT exam for getting admission here. There is no such lateral entry scheme.

Syed, go for M.Tech in Civil. There are many different specialisations available. Choose a specialisation of your choice. Admissions are in progress these days. You can check the websites of some universities like Lovely, Sharda, Galgotia, etc. The admission will be based on GATE as well as their own tests, you can go for admission through either of the one. Hi Kunal, yes you can pursue your bachelor's degree from UK after completing your Diploma in civil engineering. Take the IELTS. The admission procedure is online, generally you have to apply through the UCAS website. Please also check the recognition of engineering programs from UK, if you wish to come back to India then be aware that most 3 year Bachelors degree in engineering programs of UK are not recognised in India.

Yes, you can change the branch, but the chances of securing the admission in a different branch through the online process is difficult. In the counselling round you'll get the college if any left.
