To become an IAS officer you need to appear for CSAT examination organized by UPSC. The examination for administrative services is organized in two phases . First is CSAT and then comes Mains. After clearing these both examination one is called for interview. Based on all these tests scores candidates are allocated into different fields viz. IAS,IPS, IFS,IRS.
So I would suggest you to select one subject intelligently and prepare for this examination. There is a very good set of subjects from which you can select one.
Hope it helps.

Hi Harshita
It is advisable to do your graduation from regular mode as it will definitely hv more value than distance, in case you dont clear your Upsc exams by chance. If you are planning for CA, then you can choose SOL as its not allowed to do ur graduation from regular mode with CA.

Minimum qualification to appear for IAS is graduation. It does not make any difference on type of your education qualification/ stream to clear Civil Services examination. You must chose subjects of your interest and become master them to score well in order to fulfill your dream of becoming IAS.

No, koi problem nahi hogi. Agar aapne preparation start nahi kia hai to start kijiye fir aap khud janoge ki BA ya Bsc hone na hone ka IAS preparation se zada koi lena dena nahi hai. Kyu ki aap jab preparation shuru karoge to aapko ek naye sire se chizo ko padhna hoga samajhna hoga.
