In general, if you fail a subject and take a supplementary exam for it, the board will highlight that subject with an asterisk. Below your marks, they will mention that you have qualified for a particular subject in a supplementary exam. Similarly, they may use a hash or another symbol to highlight subjects in which you failed or were absent. Distinction is usually given for having a brilliant score in a particular academic year, and failing in a previous class doesn't affect results in intermediate or any other class. Class 12th is equivalent to your intermediate 2nd year, and your intermediate 1st year is equivalent to 11th class. Because you will receive a different marksheet after the 12th board result depending on the board, the class 11 result will have no bearing on the 12th.

The MHT CET or Common Entrance Test is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. It is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education. The MHT CET exam is held in English Urdu, Marathi. However, papers in Urdu and Marathi will only be available to those who opt for it in the preferred language section while filling in the form. The total duration of MHT CET is 180 minutes, the exam is held in two parts consisting of paper 1 and paper 2. Each paper is of 90 minutes duration. These are the basic details of the MHT CET exam. 1- Know the entire syllabus and have an idea about it.
2- Start with easy topics first, so that you can boost your confidence.
3- Check previous year's question papers to see the type of model of questions given.
4- Make your own short notes.
5- Try to make flow charts of the concepts to remember in an easy way.
6- After completion of easy topics, start preparing for tough topics.
7- Then you can go for sample papers solving.
8- Later give test series, so that you can check how much you have learnt and where you are committing mistakes.
9- Improve upon your mistakes and prepare well.
10- Try to solve as many previous years question papers as possible.
