Well, there are not many good colleges for this particular course but to name the best, I would say Guwahati University and Dibrugarh University.

As per the admission procedure, the 60% of seats are reserved for NE students based on merit ranking in JEE Mains and 40% for the rest through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
The intake also includes admission to students under Self Supported Schemes (SSS) and State Rank Holders of (10+2) Science Examinations of NE States securing above 85% in aggregate.
So, there is no need to give any entrance exam separately for B.Tech programs.

Currently, the AEC offers the following PG programs:
1. M.E. in Soil Mechanics/Geo technical Engineering
2. M.E. in Watershed Management and Flood Control
3. M.E. in Electrical Engineering
4. M.E. in Mechanical Engineering
Hence, M.Tech in Power system in not available at AEC.

Admission Procedure
Admission on the basis of the performance in the all India Entrance Examination held by the Tezpur University Entrance Examination Board in different parts of the country

It differs from college to college e.g. for JBIMS, cut-off is 99 percentile and it's comparatively low for Great Lakes.
