At GIBS Bangalore, students get multiple specialisation options, so you are not forced to stick to only one area from the beginning. One good thing is that students also get an option for dual specialization, which helps if you want knowledge across two domains and want broader career opportunities.
The specializations generally include:
Finance – for banking, finance, investment, analyst, and related roles
Marketing – for sales, branding, digital marketing, and business development roles
Human Resources (HR) – for recruitment, talent management, and people-related roles
Business Analytics – for students interested in data and busin

Yes, GIBS Bangalore does provide industry visits and live projects, and this is one of the reasons many students prefer it because learning is not limited to classrooms alone.
Students get opportunities to visit companies and understand how businesses actually work. Depending on the programme and batch activities, students get exposure to companies from sectors like IT, manufacturing, retail, FMCG, and startups. Industry exposure may include visits and interactions with companies such as Infosys, Toyota, Decathlon, Coca-Cola, and other corporate organizations.

GIBS Bangalore actually has a really nice and chill atmosphere once you're there. It doesn't feel too noisy or chaotic. The campus has that calm student vibe, where you can actually sit outside, talk with friends, work on stuff, and still feel focused.
It's the kind of place where the surroundings don't stress you out—clean spaces, greenery, and a peaceful setup, so your mind feels a bit relaxed while studying or attending classes. Even group work or hanging around between lectures feels comfortable.Calm and peaceful campus vibe

- Good spaces to sit, talk, and study
- Not too crowded or stressful

As a student, what I personally felt was that the main focus was not only academics. It felt more like helping students become ready for jobs and real work life.
What I felt during my time there:
Focus on learning things beyond textbooks
Lots of presentations, projects, and activities
Encouragement to participate and build confidence
Exposure through internships, workshops, and events
Helping students become more prepared for placements and careers
For me, the overall feeling was simple — study, learn new things, build confidence, and leave college with better skills than when you joined.

Honestly, one thing I noticed during my time there was that if you actually went and asked doubts, people were generally approachable. I feel this matters because during PGDM/MBA, doubts are not only about subjects, sometimes it is internships, placements, projects, presentations, and career confusion too.
From what I experienced:
- You could ask doubts outside class instead of waiting for the next lecture
- Faculty usually guided during projects and presentations too
- Career discussions happened beyond academics sometimes
- During internships and placements, many students used to ask for suggestions and guidance
- Since projects and activities

Honestly, I had the same doubt before joining, because I was thinking MBA/PGDM means only people who talk a lot, do marketing, and are super confident from day one. But after joining, I realized many people were actually quiet in the beginning.
What helped most people gradually was:
Presentations happening regularly, so after some point speaking feels normal
Group projects because you automatically start interacting with people
Mock interviews and placement activities before actual placements
Workshops and activities where you participate little by little
Internships and practical work that build confidence over time
Different roles and domai
