Keep your GPA good, publish some research papers, get good scores in GRE and IELTS/TOEFL. Then apply for the programme and wait for admission. Do let me know if you have further query as I got an admission into McGill.

A number of veterinary programmes are open only to students who have completed a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, you may consider applying for a B.Sc programme in areas such as Animal Systems, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Health, Pre-Veterinary Medicine, etc. And thereafter apply for a DVM programme. Check the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association for the listed and top veterinary colleges including The Atlantic Veterinary College of The University of Prince Edward Island, Ontario Veterinary College of The University of Guelph and so on. Though both these colleges are good I will strongly go for the one with co-op option. Being an international student, it's very important that you gain some experience while studying, this will increase your job prospects there and you can also show some international learning experience on your resume. Co-op is an essential factor in the learning environment so Conestoga I will suggest. But, confirm with them, inquire about the companies they have opportunities with, what kind of co-op learning will they provide, etc.
