Hi Hari Prasad, The main differences are in terms of admission requirements, selectivity and expense. Colleges are comparatively way cheaper than universities and have slightly easier admission rules. For example, for admission to a Master's degree course, the colleges may accept a three-year degree which universities do not accept in contrary. Admission standards are higher in university and it prefers students with more than 70% in most cases but for colleges, it is not the case, though the colleges are also very competitive, you can apply if you have a decent score, but above 55%. You can check the college website in which you planning to take admission if you are eligible, you can surely apply.

Hi S Gupta, May I request you to first contact the university and the department specific research supervisors because that's the way it is. Your admission will depend on how impressive your profile and research topics are. You have to get some good recommendation letters and network with people. As a Ph.D. aspirant, you must be aware of some basic principles underlying the Ph.D. application process. If you don't have language scores please take a look at the university website for the requirements and contact them. Check if you have the desired academic background and percentage and that you meet the eligibility criteria. It will require patience and follow-ups for supervisors to get back to you.

It is better, you first assess your degree with respect to the university's admission policy, the university where you want to apply to in Canada. Please contact your desired universities. Secondly, you have a three-year degree course which again must be checked with the universities for acceptance, universities in Canada mostly prefer a four-year degree course. For MBA admissions, one must not only have completed the Bachelor's degree but also gain work experience of 2 years at least and must take the GMAT. Be sure that you meet the admission requirements before applying.

APSET 2018 eligibility criteria which aspirants need to fulfil in order to be eligible to appear for the entrance exam is as mentioned below:
Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% marks (without rounding off) in their Master's degree or equivalent exam from any university/college that is recognised by the UGC. Aspirants belonging to the reserved categories such as OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwD are eligible to apply if they have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in their Master's degree or equivalent exam. Aspirants who are appearing for their Master's degree final year exam and whose exam result is awaited can also apply for APSET exam. But such aspirants will be offered provisional admission and they need to submit their exam result details at the time of admission. Candidates who possess a Ph.D. degree and who have completed their Master's level examination by September 19, 1991 (irrespective of date when the result is declared) will be eligible for 5% relaxation in aggregate marks (that is, from 55% to 50%) for appearing in APSET exam. The official website informs that, Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post-graduation only. The candidates, whose post-graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects may appear in a related subject.
