With a 60-70% acceptance rate, Algoma University is comparatively easier to get in for international students. According to an unofficial source, the university has a relatively lenient admissions policy and takes a comprehensive approach that takes into account both academic and extracurricular factors. In addition to academic achievement, the university prioritizes involvement in extracurricular activities, voluntary work, work experience, and pertinent clubs and events. To increase their chances of being selected, students must aim for high academic standing and participate in other pertinent activities.

Yes, you can apply to the MBA programme at the University of Calgary with a 3-year business degree from India, but there are specific conditions you must meet:

  • It is mandatory that the degree has been awarded by a university with at least an 'A' rating from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, India; the institution should be rated and accredited 'A' within five years.
  •  You must have a minimum GPA of 8/10 or first class/division admission.
  •  If the eligibility criteria for your degree are not met, then a master's degree has to be held along with a three-year Bachelor's degree for eligibility into the program.

UCalgary's Haskayne School of Business offers the MBA program. The programme is designed for early to mid-career professionals who already have at least two years of professional work experience. This experience is considered essential for the program, as it helps students leverage their professional background to enhance their learning and career goals. In exceptional circumstances, we waive this requirement for students completing a combined MBA degree.
