As the University of Mannheim admissions, the work experience is more of a general admission requirement than a mandatory one.

The university generally needs strong candidates who are academically inclined and have relevant qualifications like -

  • A UG degree with a really good GPA
  • strong English proficiency requirements by tests like IELTS, TOEFL or PTE

The application should be made via uni-assist along with an application fee.

In general, the University of Mannheim admission deadlines are not different than the Uni-assist deadlines. Although the students who are applying via the Uni-assist portal should keep their documents and submit them via the portal.

Please note that an application fee of EUR 75 (INR 8.0K) is applicable if applying via the uni-assist portal and for Masters programs being applied via the official website of the university, there is no University of Mannheim application fee.

(EUR 1 = 107.52)

Most of the programs offered by the University of Mannheim are in Winter as this is when it aligns with Indian academia. The programs are available at both levels UG and PG.

The courses like the Bachelor of Science and Arts, Business and Social Sciences programs are generally offered in Winter

In Summer mostly, some master's programs are only available for application.

Yes, there is a Summer intake available at the University of Mannheim for international students. This intake starts in the month of April each year. But, this is rather less common as there are less programs that open for registration.

The Winter intake at Mannheim University is more common and the admission deadline for this intake is generally the Jan 15 each year

To be considered at the University of Mannheim as a potential student, an applicant needs to have a good GPA to show academic inclination. The Indian degree would require an APS evaluation for Anabin.

Along with it, international students would need a GPA of 2.5 as per the German grading system. The cost of living can add to this cost.

Yes, it can be considered hard to get into the University of Mannheim because of its low acceptance rate.

This acceptance rate is only 29%, which simply means that this university gives admission to only 29 applicants out of every 100 who apply.

To get in, the students need to meet the Mannheim admission requirements as given below-

  • A UG degree with a nice GPA
  • Creative portfolio for courses like Architecture
  • English language proficiency for the English-taught programs
  • An application made via the official portal of the university

UBonn suggests that students should start planning early because for many degree programs its often not clear what kind of work line one should go in post graduation. Thinking about career at an early stage also helps avoid anxiety in later stages among students and help them focus the studies on a particular goal

UBonn suggests that students should figure out areas of work they like or that appeal to them then figure out if these are actually what they want to do and whether they are capable of doing. If all is confirmed then grasp an internship, part time job or volunteering opportunity for the same
