NIT Goa offers Shraman Foundation Scholarships for financially underprivileged students first and second-year of BTech students. National Institute of Technology Goa is ranked 101 - 150 by NIRF 2024 under the Engineering category. NIT Goa was established by an act of parliament (NIT Act 2007) in 2010 and is known as an Institute of National Importance. NITGoa has workshops and labs and has set up an up-to-date library with high-quality print and electronic resources. There are various resources available in the college for students. The college's placements are good. Hence, NIT Goa is a good college. 

Goa University conducts a Common Law Admission Test (GU-CLAT) for admission to BA LLB programme. Besides, candidates must also Class 12 with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST and 42% aggregate for OBC) for BA LLB admission. The university releases a merit list based on HSc and GU-CLAT scores of the aspirants with 50% weightage to each of them.

Candidates need to pass one-year master's degree after a four-year bachelor's degree or a two year master's degree after a three-year bachelor's degree with at least 55% aggregate or its equivalent grade to apply for PhD course at Goa Unievrsity. There is a 5% relaxation in the aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ PwD candidates)

Aspirants who have completed MPhil programme with a minimum of 55% aggregate can also apply.

Goa University conducts a Qualifying Entrance Test or QET for admission to ME courses. QET is a two hour test of 100 marks. Aspirants who qualify QET are shortlisted for admission to ME programme. Besides, candidates must also complete graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate to apply for ME.
