DTU is a government university which was established in the year 1941. The university is accredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade and NBA. The university has been ranked 214 by the QS Asian University Rankings - Southern Asia & also at the 700th position by the QS Ranking under the Asian University Rankings. 

Delhi Technological University DTU has received 30th position under the engineering category & 62nd under the Overall category by NIRF 2025. Colleges like IIT Ropar stands below this university.
