Students pursuing a course from Kashmir University can apply for scholarship schemes available at National Scholarship Portal and State Scholarship Portal. Below are the schemes available:
- Scholarship for Specially Abled Students
- SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD/ etc. and minority students
- Orphans/ broken family candidates
- Candidates belonging to AAY Category
- Candidates belonging to BPL Category
- Candidates belonging to abandoned, etc.

The NIT Srinagar BTech fees is reduced for candidates who belong to the Sc, ST, PwD and candidates with low family income. These candidates are exempted from paying any tuition fees for the BTech course at NIT Srinagar.
Candidates of these categories need to present documents for their recognition under these categories or proof of family income being below INR 1 LPA.

The NIT Srinagar BTech seat allotment is first done through the JoSAA counseling. The allotment of seats is based on a candidate's JEE Mains score. However, if after the seat allotment, there are still some vacant seats for the BTech course, they are filled through the CSAB counseling.

NIT Srinagar BTech fees is not refundable under any circumstances. This applies to all fee components except the caution deposit which is refunded upon the completion of the BTech fees without any interest.
Candidates can only get refunds if they choose to cancel their admissions during the JoSAA counseling rounds.

No, the BTech fees at NIT Srinagar remains the same across all specialisations. The NIT Srinagar BTech fees structure also remains the same between the same specialisations. All NIT Srinagar fees is either charged on per semester basis or are one-time payments.

No, candidates who wish to get admissions into the PhD course at NIT Srinagar are required to appear for one of the accepted entrance exams. After qualifying in the entrance exam, the institute further evaluates candidates through a written test as well as personal interview round.

For sponsored or full-time working candidates for NIT Srinagar PhD admissions, it is mandatory to have a work experience of two years with their current employer to be eligible for PhD admissions.
However, candidates from other categories do not have such eligibility requirements for NIT Srinagar PhD admissions.

The documents required for NIT Srinagar PhD admission process must be presented by candidates in person during the personal interview round. These documents include the following:
- Class 10th and Class 12th marksheet as well as passing certificate
- Graduation degree
- Post graduation degree
- GATE/UGC NET scorecard
- No Objection Certificate
- Passport sized photographs
- ID and address proof

There is no mention of NIT Srinagar PhD admissions being open for candidates who are yet to receive their final scorecard. Generally, PhD admissions are not open to candidates who cannot produce their final marksheet and degree at the time of admissions.
Hence, candidates should assume that they cannot apply for NIT Srinagar PhD courses without their final exam scorecard.

Only the caution deposit paid at the time of admissions by a candidates is refundable at NIT Srinagar. The remaining fees is not refunded to the candidates by NIT Srinagar under any circumstances.
To be eligible for the caution deposit refund, candidates need to complete the PhD course curriculum.
