No, the candidate cannot pursue BTech through distance education at MBSCET. The mode of study for the offered course is full-time. If a course claims to be distance BTech then it is not AICTE recognised.

To get admission in BTech course at MBSCET, the candidate must complete Class 12 with PCM. The student needs to appear for JKBOPEE entrance exam for government quota and SCET for minority quota. After qualifying the entrance seat allotment is done through counselling and admission is confirmed by submitting the application form, required documents and fees.

MBSCET application form can be obtained personally from the office of the Deputy Registrar of College at the cost of INR 1,200. The candidate can fill and duly sign the form and can be submit it in the office itself along with required documents.

The admission procedure is that the candidates must pass Class 12 examination or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. MBSCET primarily uses the MBS Minority Seats Entrance Test for selection. JKCET scores are also considered. For seat allotment, candidate's performance as per the selection criteria is evaluated. Then the candidate is required to fill the Application Form of MBSCET. The form is available online as well as offline. Submit the application form along with the required documents and the application amount to MBSCET.
