XIME Kochi PGDM admission is based on merit in MAT/XAT/CAT/KMAT/ATMA/GMAT. The cutoff for an MBA at XIME Kochi is around 70 percentile in the CAT exam for the General category and the minimum cutoff for the XAT exam is 50 percentile. It must be noted that the cutoff varies for each admission year. However, candidates can refer to this to get an idea about their selection.

XIME Kochi has a total of 120 seats for PGDM programme. The institute have the right to revise the seat count. Candidates are further allotted a seat based on the below-mentioned criteria:

For admission to PGDM at XIME Kochi, it is necessary that the aspirant fulfils the course-specific eligibility criteria. The requirements as prescribed by the institute are:
- UG degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate (45% in case of SC/ ST category)
- Candidates appearing for final exams or awaiting results can also apply
- Applicant should be completing the UG degree before Jun 25 of the admission year, and the degree with at least 50% aggregate has to be submitted by Sep 30 of the admission year.
- Candidates with un-cleared backlog papers in graduation are not eligible to apply.
