The Central University of Punjab (CUP) requires a minimum score of 239 for general category students to be admitted to MBA programs in 2023. For other MBA programs, students should check the official CUP website. The overall CUET-PG cutoff for 2023 is 87–245 marks.

The cutoff for PG courses like MA Political Science, MA Psychology, MBA Agribusiness, and MA International Relations and Political Science ranges from 270–230 to 280–240. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Commerce with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. For SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD, the minimum is 50%. Candidates must also appear for the CUCET entrance exam for the academic year.

The Central University of Punjab (CUP) requires candidates to have a Master's degree in a relevant subject with a minimum of 60% marks to be eligible for admission. Candidates can apply for admission through the university's official website. 

For M.Tech in Computer Science and Technology, candidates must have:-

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks.
• A minimum of 6.5 CGPA for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC candidates.
• A minimum of 55% marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

For M.Tech admission in 2024, the CUP accepts the following exams: GATE, CCMT, CUET.

According to some sources, the Central University of Punjab (CUP) is less expensive than other universities in India.  The average annual fee for courses at the Central University of Karnataka (CUK) is approximately INR 59,587. General category students pay Rs. 50,000 per semester at CUK.  However, SC/ST students are exempt from tuition fees if their family's annual income is less than Rs. 6 lakhs.

The Central University of Punjab (CUP) has a selection process for M.Tech that includes an entrance test and counseling. Eligible candidates must take the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET). Admission is based on the marks obtained in the CUCET. The minimum GATE score for the general category in 2022 was 359. The 2023 GATE cutoff for the general category was 363–371. 

The final selection of candidates is based on: -

80 percent weightage of the GATE score

20 percent weightage of marks in the personal interview

Some documents required for admission include: -

3) BSc honors physics: INR 25,490–46,892 per year

Chemistry: INR 26,820, with the first year fee at INR 15,200 and the second year fee at INR 11,620

The Central University of Punjab (CUP) accepts scores from the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to all programs. The CUET UG and CUET PG exams are used for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, respectively. For postgraduate courses, including MA, M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Com, LLM, and MBA, admission is based on the CUCET exam score and a personal interview. For the M.Tech program, candidates must submit a GATE exam score and participate in the counseling process. The university also conducts its own entrance exam for PhD programs. 

The application process is online only, and no applications are considered without a valid entrance exam score.

PU CET 2023 cutoff percentage is 15% of the total marks for the General category. Those candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwD need minimum attainment of 10% (cut off) of total marks.

Panjab University UG Eligibility Criteria.Ed, B.A + B.Ed and BHMCT, students need to qualify 10+2 level with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised board. For B.Ed and LLB, students must have done a graduation degree from a recognised university.

For instance, National PU College has a uniform cut off percentage for all three streams — 80%. An official from the institute said it is not likely to change in the near future as well.Candidates seeking BA or BA (Hons) course admission at Panjab University must have an aggregate of up to 60% in Class 12. You cannot join the Central University of Punjab without appearing for the central university's common test CUCET for PG courses the eligibility criteria for PG courses at the Central University of Punjab require a valid score on CUCET and graduation with merit.
