As stated by Shiksha user (Harsimran Singh B.E. in Electronics and Computer Engineering - Batch of 2029), Thapar Uiniversity offers value for Money. A total of 60-70 percent of students are placed. 1.3 crores package is the highest, and 11 LPA is around the average package. All major companies came for recruitment (FAANG and all). Hostel facilities are pretty good except in some 1st year rooms, AC and attached washrooms are available with attached balcony, mess food is provided by French company Sudexo. Extra-curricular activities rooms are also present in hostels. Overall crowd is also good.

If both colleges are available to you, I would choose LPU for B.A. LL.B. because it offers a stronger mix of legal education, practical exposure, internships, campus life, and additional benefits like scholarships and the Study Grant of up to ₹1 lakh. 🎓⚖️✨
At the end of the day, success in law depends a lot on your internships, moot courts, networking, and hard work—but LPU provides a strong platform to help you build all of that.

CSE placements depend on a student's skills, projects, coding ability, internships, and communication skills. At LPU, the curriculum is regularly updated with industry requirements, and students get opportunities for coding practice, hackathons, live projects, internships, and placement training. Companies from software, analytics, product, and IT services sectors visit the campus for recruitment. Students who build strong technical skills and gain practical experience generally have better placement outcomes. Overall, the environment is career focused and provides multiple pathways for CSE students to prepare for placements.

Yes, an average student can get admission to LPU if the eligibility criteria for the chosen programme are met. Admission is generally based on academic performance and, for some courses, entrance test requirements. What matters more is how a student uses the opportunities available after joining. LPU is known for its industry oriented curriculum, practical learning approach, skill development activities, and career support. Students who stay consistent with academics and skill building can improve their career prospects and placement opportunities significantly.

The seat ratio between boys and girls in a Bachelor of Planning program is usually not fixed. Admissions are generally based on eligibility, entrance scores, and seat availability rather than gender quotas. At LPU, the focus is on providing equal opportunities to all eligible students. The classroom mix can vary each year depending on the number of applicants, so the exact ratio may change from batch to batch.
