Yes, SMIT Sikkim is a private institute.
SMIT College is ranked 22 as the Best Engineering Private College by India Today 2022 under the Overall category. Manipal Institute of Technology Sikkim is accredited by NBA and is approved by UGC and AICTE. The college is ISO certified. SMIT, through 12 departments and one centre, offers UG and PG courses to students across the Engineering, Computer Application, Management, and other streams.

The highest package offered at the National Institute of Technology Puducherry depends on the course and the year of placement.
The highest package offered for the BTech program was INR 42 lakhs per annum and for the MTech program was INR 14.5 lakhs per annum in recent years.
The highest package offered in 2023 was INR 15.25 lakhs per annum for the CSE branch

The institute has not released the lowest package placement stats for the year 2022. However, as per Shiksha review, the lowest package offered was in the range of INR 2 LPA to INR 2.5 LPA during the recent placement drive. For more clarity, students can check the table presented below:
