Hi Akshay,
The eligibility for admission to company secretary course: I understand from your query that you have scored 49% in your B.Com degree. With this percentage you can definitely get admission to the Company Secretary course since the minimum percentage required as per ICSI is 45% only. If you want to apply for good colleges then you will be not eligible as each college has its own percentage criteria.

Hi Prashant,
Company Secretary, as both an independent professional and an employee, is a professionally and financially rewarding career. The CS course is through correspondence and can be completed in three and a half years, and the registration is valid for five years. Students who have passed +2 in any stream, except fine arts, can register and appear for the foundation-level examination after nine months. The second level is executive level, after which employment can be sought in any company. The final or professional level has Nine elective subjects. For details refer to:

Hi Neha,
Self-study using an institutes material is sufficient enough to help you clear the foundation programme of CS. Your clarity in concepts of accounting and economics in class 12th is an added advantage and will help you feel at ease. Rest all can be prepared by the institutes material. Further, you can also have a look at the old questions of previous examinations.
