As per the new rule, one can not pursue any other course along with law.
It was only recently that I was enlightened of the fact that pursuing law with CS is barred by Rule 6 of the Rules of Legal Education, 2008.
6. Prohibition to register for two regular courses of study: No student shall be allowed to simultaneously register for a law degree programme with any other graduate or postgraduate or certificate course run by the same or any other university or an institute for academic or professional learning excepting in the integrated degree programme of the same institution.
Provided that any short period part-time certificate course on language, computer science or computer application of an institute or any course run by a Centre for Distance Learning of a University, however, shall be excepted.

CS has become very lucrative and remunerative and with the implementation of companies act, 2013 the scope has widened for a company secretary as a professional. A company secretary can be in practice, or in employment be appointed as a key managerial person. Company secretary are also called as compliance managers as they are the ones with an overall and all round knowledge of various laws applicable on the industries. So it is noteworthy that along with the enhancement in scope, work and remuneration wise, responsibility and accountability is also increased. The salary package, though depends on your skills, knowledge and practical exposure, but on an average a fresher company secretary can get anything from a range of 25k to 40k a month.
