CS Executive examination is held twice in a year- June and December. Candidates must ensure to fulfill the below mentioned ICSI eligibility criteria to appear for the CS Executive examination:

• Candidate must have passed the CS Executive Entrance Test or CSEET with the required score. 
• Candidate must have cleared the Foundation Examination of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India
• Cleared Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
• Arts, Science, and Commerce Graduates/ Post Graduates (excluding Fine Arts) are eligible for admission to the CS Executive programme.
• Candidates must not be less than 17 years of age. 

Students who are registered under CS Executive new syllabus and CS Professional new syllabus shall have to appear for the Pre examination test to become eligible to enroll and appear for the CS Executive or CS Professional examination. The exam will be conducted by ICSI. the exam will be served as an eligibility criteria to appear for the main examinations. Candidates will be required to pay the pre examination test fee of INR 1000 online. Once the payment is realised, candidates will be sent invitation along with the login ID and password.

ICSI CS examinations for CS Executive, Professional is conducted at designated CS exam centres acroiss various cities in India. The ICSI selects and announced the list of exam centres for each exam session. The number of exam centres and cities may vary from session to session. Only candidates who will fill the ICSI CS application form along with the payment of the application fee will be able to know the alloted exam centre when the admit card is released. 

If not cleared, candidates can choose to re-appear for the ICSI CS executive examination for the upcoming session. ICSI conducts CS Executive exam twice in a year- June and December. Candidates can re-appear for the exam if they have not cleared the examination in current attempt. Such candidates must ensure to enroll for the exam within the given period. ICSI CS June 2026 enrollment window without late fee will has opened. Candidates can enroll for ICSI CS Executive and CS Professional June 2026 till March 25 (without late fee) and April 09 (with late fee). Only candidates who have registered for the ICSI CS examination will be able to enroll for the exam. Candidates enrolling after prescribed last date will have to pay the late fee of INR 250. 

ICSI will open the CS Executive 2026 enrolment services for June 2026 session in February 2026. Candidates who have filled the application form can edit or modify the details in the application form. ICSI has started the CS Professional 2026 enrollment services for June session. Candidates who have completed the CS Professional application form can edit or modify the details in the enrollment form. Candidates can avail services till given time . To become a Company Secretary candidates will have to pass the three levels prescribed below:

1. CSEET: CS Executive Entrance Test is the entry-level examination afor class 12th candidates. 
2. CS Executive Exam: After clearing the CSEET exam or having a Bachelors degree as per the eligibility criteria, candidates can register and enroll for the CS Executive exam.
3. CS Professional Exam: After clearing the CS Executive examination, candidates can enroll for the CS Professional programme.

Students who have completed their 10+2 education in any stream can apply for the ICSI CS course. Candidates require no minimum percentage to appear/apply for the CS examination. Class 12th passed candidates must appear for the CSEET examination and score a minimum of 50% marks overall and 40% in each subject to qualify for the CS Executive examination.

ICSI CS June 2026 enrollment process for CS Executive and CS Professional programme will commence on February 26. Candidates who have already registered for the CS Executive programme/ CS Professional programme can enroll for the programme online. Candidates enrolling after the mentioned date have to pay the late fee of INR 250 per subject. Candidates must ensure to stay updated with the cutoff date of ICSI CS application and enrollment form. • ICSI CS Executive June 2026 exam will be held for a duration of three hours i.e., 9 AM to 12.15 PM. Candidates will get 15 minutes from 9 AM to 9.15 AM for reading the question paper. 
• ICSI CS Executive December 2026 will be held from 2 PM to 5.15 PM. Candidates will get 15 minutes time to read the question paper from 2 PM to 2.15 PM.

On the day of the CS Executive examination, candidates must ensure to carry the following documents, failing which candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall:

Yes, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India has released the CS Executive syllabus. Candidates preparing for the ICSI CS Executive June 2026 can now check the detailed syllabus online. As per the ICSI official notification, candidates can use only a blue or black ballpoint pen for writing the answers or for darkening the circles. The ICSI CS Executive examination is a combination of descriptiove and Multiple Choice Questions. The exam is divided in Two groups. The first group consist of four papers and second paper consists of three papers. Each paper will consist of maximum 100 marks. The medium of ICSI CS Executive question paper is English only.

No, CS Professional exam syllabus does not change every year. ICSI notifies the update in syllabus. Earlier, ICSI introduced the new CS Professional syllabus in 2022. Candidates must stay updated with the latst notification to know the updates CS Professional syllabus. The first examination under new syllabus 2022 was held in December 2023.
