A pass in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects- Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ technical vocational with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category) is required to apply for the BTech CSE course. The eligibility criteria for JSPM University admissions for BTech course is that candidate should have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as compulsory subjects with 45% aggregate (40% mark for reserved category). The entrance exams accepted include CET/ JEE / Preeminent Education & Research Association (PERA).

In order to get BTech admission at JUIT Solan, the candidate have to meet the last educational qualification. The student should pass Class 12 with 50% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one subject out of Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subjects, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship.
