The Supernumerary round of CSAB counselling round is dedicated to admission to supernumerary seats at NIT Calicut, NIT Durgapur, and SVNIT Surat. Candidates from the Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli are eligible to participate in the CSAB 2025 Supernumerary round.

The CSAB counelling is conducted after the compeltion of JoSAA. The dates of CSAB is announced after the last round JoSAA counselling at csab.nic.in. The counselling process will begin with the CSAB NEUT round, followed by the special round, and finally the supernumerary round. The schedule for the CSAB NEUT round, as well as the special and supernumerary rounds will differ.

Even if you did not register for the CSAB NEUT (North Eastern States and Union Territories) counseling and belong to the ST category, and you are from North-East India, you can get a seat in an NIT during the subsequent rounds. CSAB NEUT rounds for students applying from North-East states and UTs to decide their seat allotment in NITs alongside other participating institutes, according to JEE Main scores. You have secured 6373 rank in ST category, therefore you can apply for few NIT’s but the actual number of seats possible depends on the seat matrix. Being an EWS candidate with a CRL rating of 62,789, you may be able to obtain greater possibilities through CSAB or JoSAA counselling as opposed to VIT Bhopal. Waiting may produce better results because these counselling sessions frequently provide access to preferred branches or higher-ranked colleges.

The CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) portal typically displays the category rank for the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category. This rank is specific to the EWS candidates and helps determine seat allocation during counseling and admissions.
CRL refers to Common Rank List (CRL). CRL is the merit list that consists of all the ranks of students who appeared for JEE Mains exam. JEE Main CRL includes name of the candidates along with their caste, gender, JEE Main all India rank and category-wise rank.

You stand a high chance of being admitted into one of the NITs (National Institutes of Technology) or IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) with an EWS rank of 25011 in JEE Mains. Depending on the number of seats available and the cutoffs for your category, you might be able to try your luck at any of the lower-ranked NITs or IIITs.
