Dartmouth stands as the smallest among the Ivy League schools, hosting around 6,800 students on its campus each quarter, following the Dartmouth plan and study-abroad initiative. In the Fall of 2018, the college had a total of 6,571 students, comprising 4,417 undergraduates and 2,154 postgraduate and professional students. The incoming Undergraduate Class of 2024 drew 21,392 applicants, from which 1,973 received acceptance offers. Ultimately, 1,058 students joined, including a 12% representation of international students.

These scholarships are given based on financial need and don't require repayment. The scholarship amount a student may receive, can range from $1,000 to over $50,000, depends on the students's family expected contribution. When you apply for financial aid, you're automatically considered for these grants. To be eligible for these scholarships or grants, international applicants need to show their financial need when they apply.

International students, including students from India who are seeking admission to undergraduate courses at Dartmouth College, are required to show and submit their SAT or ACT scores. Indian students who are seeking admission fro postgraduate courses at Dartmouth College are required to are required to shoe and submit GRE scores. Furthermore, Indian students or students coming from non-English speaking countries are required to show their English language proficiency by qualifying for any of the English Language Proficiency tests such as IELTS/ TOEFL iBT/Duolingo English Test (DET).
