Yes, of course you can apply. The IGNOU is offering M.Sc. Maths (with its applications in Computer Science) under the name MACS. The Eligibility Criteria is:
1) Graduation from a recognised University/Institution with a Major, or Honours in Mathematics with at least fifty percent marks in aggregrate.
2) If the seats remain vacant from then Graduation with B.A. /B.Sc degree with Mathematics as one of the three main subjects with equal weightage, securing at least 50 percent marks in aggregate and 55 percent in

Hello Srinivas,
Yes, they are eligible. They can apply under other state quota. TNEA is the admission process for most of the engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu which are affiliated to Anna University. Your board exam marks are used for admission and there are no entrance exams.

You could join under the Masters programme M.Des and MFM). You will however have to write the entrance test NIFT conducts every year during the month of February. Your UG background remains irrelevant if you can get past the test and have the right creative aptitude. And, Engineers are cool people who are able to understand and grasp anything easily. The salary package has a wide range. Anything between 4 - 9 Lacs p. a. But there are a few tier-1 companies like trident that offer more. I've heard it goes upto 15 Lacs p.a.
