Hello Aswaria, Mostly students join institutes like TIME, Career Launcher, etc for CAT preparations. You can also do the same as these institutes guide you well throughout your journey of CAT preparation. On the other hand if you are doing job at present, then you can even study on your own. Buy the study material from these institutes and do self study i would however suggest you to join the test series as it gives you a good idea about how CAT would be and helps you prepare well for the exam day Also, not belonging to engineering background has no as such difference. Hello Aswaria,
Yes you can expect a call from FMS provided you have a high percentile that can meet the cutoff for the 2016 shortlist. Having a backlog doesn't reduce your chances of getting a call for the further rounds. All the best.

Hello Jugraj, In order to get admission in FMS, you will have to give CAT exam. On the basis of the percentile you score in CAT, you will be called for the further rounds which are extempore and PI. A cumulative merit list is prepared on the basis of your marks in these 3 things and final admissions are offered to those who qualify. Also, your percentage is graduation has no such link to secure admission in FMS. You should meet the eligibility criteria and the required cutoff. All the best.
